The Dodecanese Directory is organized by island. Most sites in it
are suggested to us by users. Sites are placed into islands and areas by
Dodecanese Directory editors, who visit and evaluate your suggestions
and decide where the sites best belong. We do this to ensure that
Dodecanese Directory is organized in the best possible way, making the
directory easy to use, helpful, and fair to everyone.
With this in mind, we ask that you follow three simple, yet
important steps if you have a site (URL) you'd like to suggest:
Step 1: Check to See if Your Site Is Already in Dodecanese Directory
This first step is important, because if your site is already
listed in the Dodecanese Directory, you need to go no further. You
can check by pointing to your island page. If your site appears in
the island page, you are listed in the Dodecanese Directory.
(Note: If your site is already listed in the Dodecanese Directory
but you want to change its comments, title, and/or placement, you
need to send us an email
with the requested changes. This is an entirely different process.)
Step 2: Find the Appropriate Island in Dodecanese Directory
Finding the appropriate island for your site is at the heart of
this process. You may also find an area that will much your area. Remember that Dodecanese Directory editors visit each
site suggested, and proper categorization on your part helps us
process and review your suggestions quickly.
Step 3. Suggest Your Site From the Appropriate Category
Once you've found the most appropriate island and/or area for your site, you
are ready to suggest it. Just click on the "Suggest a
Site" link on the bottom right of the category page.
When you click on "Suggest a Site" in the
appropriate category, you'll see an online form asking for
information about your site.
In the "island" space on the form, you'll see the name
of the island you've chosen. If you are submitting your site from an
island area, then in the "Area" space you'll see the name
of the area.
